Perissa is one of the first beaches of Santorini that have become tourist resort and maintains the youthful profile required by the young and many foreign tourists.
However, in recent years, new hotels, apartments and rooms have opened and renovated older units in order to improve the area’s landscape.
Transportation from and to Perissa can be done by bus, taxi or by your own means as it is located in the south part of the island.
Perissa is essentially a place that lives during the months of the tourist season, apart from hotels and rooms you can also find a camping site. There are plenty of taverns, cafes, beach bars and workshops with handmade leather sandals, handbags and other handcrafted items.
Summer parties are organized on the black beach of Perissa and its extension to Perivolos beach. On the other side of the mountain to the north is the other famous beach of Kamari.
Super markets, currency exchangers, bakery, ATM machines, gas station and pharmacy can be found in Perissa.
